3 Ways to Stop Being Sick, Tired, and Uninspired

Are you tired of putting band aids over your problems and settling for temporary fixes? Are you ready for real healing and permanent solutions? Well, what are you willing to do about that?

When it comes to healing and succeeding, many never do because they refuse to do the hard work necessary to achieve their desired results. In a world of microwaves, prescription and recreational drugs, and information at our finger tips, many people are so used to getting what they want quickly that they are always looking for shortcuts instead of taking the time to walk the road least traveled to ensure lasting results. Extraordinary people stand out for just that reason. They are willing to do what others won’t.

Are you sick and tired of being sick and tired? Do you want more and better for your life? Well, I can tell you one thing for sure. You won’t experience anything more or greater by continuously doing the same things that you’re doing now. Nothing changes if nothing changes. Although change can be uncomfortable and the unknown can be frightening, it is change that will help you to stop feeling stuck and catapult you to the next level. It is in unfamiliar places that you will be able to discover more of who you are and what you’re capable of doing. If you are never willing to try anything new, you will likely never experience anything new. If you’re never willing to push yourself out of your comfort zone, you will never know just how much more you are capable of.

What do you have to lose? If you’re at a place in your life where you feel like you have gone as far as you can go with what you have and what you know, it’s time to do more and learn more. Here are 3 things that you can start doing now to escape feeling stuck and move your life forward.

1. Own your mess. The first step to healing is accepting that you have something to heal from. Acknowledge that you’re not where you want to be and evaluate how you got here. Whether you are struggling mentally, physically, financially, or emotionally, there is a root to the problem that must be addressed and removed. Understand that it may take a lot of work and time to completely heal from it. Be patient and give yourself the grace to properly fix what didn’t become broken overnight. Instead of being anxious about not being or looking like where you think you should be by now, take pride in your decision to make the right choices going forward. Forgive yourself for not knowing better before and choose to do your best with what you know now. The time is going to pass anyway and time will always tell who was really working. No more excuses, start now. Your future self will thank you.

2. Feed your mind more. When you feel stuck or uninspired, it's because you have gone as far as you can with the knowledge you currently have. You can search your own mind day and night for solutions to move forward, but you'll likely just keep finding yourself bumping into walls and going nowhere because it is now time that you open your mind to new things and other perspectives. Reading not only increases your knowledge, it expands your mind. Several studies have shown that one of the largest differences between successful and unsuccessful people is that successful people read more, a lot more. Between television and social media, we are often consumed by the idea of overnight success and getting rich quick. However, it’s people who take the time to actually do research, master their talents, and put in the required work that have real and lasting success. So, read more. Listen to more podcasts. Get in the habit of seeking out new knowledge daily. Ask for help if you need it. The more you know, the more you'll grow.

3. Upgrade your surroundings. What you focus on, listen to, and talk about matters. If you find yourself having conversations about the same old things, that have yet to add value to your life, it’s time to reevaluate your circle. If you want to be healthy, happy, and wealthy, it is important to be surrounded by people with the same goals and interests, people who can help you to remain focused and keep you accountable for manifesting the life you deserve. A recovering drug addict can’t be besties with their old drug dealer. Wealthy people hang with wealthy people for a reason. The people you surround yourself with should reflect similar qualities of the woman you’re trying to become. “Birds of a feather flock together.” Women By Choice is a global community of supportive and success-minded women.
